The Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS) is part of the Government’s Child Care Safety Net, designed to support vulnerable families and ensure every child can access quality early learning and care.
There are four types of ACCS support:
- ACCS (Child Wellbeing) – for families who need help to support their child’s safety and wellbeing.
- ACCS (Grandparent) – for grandparents who are the primary carers of their grandchildren.
- ACCS (Temporary Financial Hardship) – for families experiencing short-term financial difficulty.
- ACCS (Transition to Work) – for families moving from income support into work.
ACCS is a top-up payment in addition to CCS. In most cases (except for Transition to Work), ACCS can cover the full cost of child care fees.
