Our Board

As a Not-for-profit organisation, Adventure Patch has a dedicated, voluntary Board of Directors who determine the strategic direction of the service.

The Board engages a Chief Executive Officer to oversee day to day management and operations of the service.

The Board’s goal is to help Adventure Patch to foster the development of Tasmanian children by assisting the organisation and its families to grow and be nurtured in a supporting environment that emphasises learning through play.

Meet Our Board

 Fiona Felmingham – Chair

Having grown up in Blackmans Bay, watched my parents and their fiends establish the original care child centre from which Adventure Patch grew, and having had my own children cared for and nurtured by the centre, I am passionate about Adventure Patch’s philosophy.

Professionally, I bring to the Board both financial and strategic management skills together with governance experience, both from my accountant roles and my board directorship experiences.

Having a seat on the Board of Adventure Patch allows me the opportunity to contribute my skills and experience to the organisation that has given my family so much.

 Rowena Lamond – Deputy Chair

Rosie is originally from Hobart but has been I and out of the state over the past few decades. She has worked in risk management, health and safety and asset maintenance mainly in the minerals and energy sectors. Rosie has had 3 children move through Adventure Patch and is an advocate for our staff and the children in our care.

Jonno Bellette – Director

Hello, my name is Jonno and I live in Kingston with my wife and two daughters (Nora and Hayley). A Kingborough resident for over 10 years, Nora attending Mountain View Day Care gave me a strong appreciation of the great work Adventure Patch does in the Tasmanian community and its philosophy of fun, exploring and imagination.

I bring to the Board a range of experience in corporate strategy, financial management and risk management across various Tasmanian organisations and look forward to contributing to Adventure Patch’s ongoing success.

Lisa Davidson – Director

A seasoned working smarter not harder enthusiast, drawn to the stunning natural beauty and slower pace of the Tasman Peninsula, I relocated to Tasmania from South-East Queensland over 7 years ago in pursuit of a lifestyle more closely aligned to values of creating space for deeper connection to family and country.

Today, that family connection extends to 2 pre-school children, 2 dogs, 11 cows and a community of new friends and adopted family. This, on top of a relentless curiosity for learning and drive to support sustainable and impactful business practices, translates to, I now first-hand appreciate the saying “it takes a village to raise a child”, the work/parenting juggle, and no, you can’t “have it all” – not without all these wonderful people you trust to keep safe, respect, nurture and inspire your children!

With over 20 years of diverse commercial experience in financial and business analysis, policy and process development, investment due diligence, finance, contract negotiation and management predominantly focused on driving implementation of climate change and sustainability strategic social and commercial objectives in infrastructure, transport, property and low emission technologies. I am genuinely excited to have the opportunity to use this to guide the strategic direction and objectives of Adventure Patch to the benefit of Tasmanian children and their families.

Lynley Devereux – Director

My name is Lynley and I live in sunny Sorell. I have three grown up children, and two young grandsons.

I am a retired teacher, having taught mainly Foods and Childcare. In my career, I have held numerous leadership roles and enjoyed strong community involvement.

The highlight of my career was teaching Certificate ll Community Services (focus on Children) at Elizabeth College. I believe learned more than my students as it was my role to research, write assignments and teach Childcare policies and procedures, ensuring that all knowledge and performance elements were mastered. Running weekly playgroup sessions also enabled students to put all that they had learnt into practice, undertake leadership roles and develop real life skills. Many of my students have since taken up careers in Childcare Centres, and I get a real kick out of seeing how successful they are.

This is my first appointment to a board, and I am really looking forward to contributing to Adventure Patch and welcome the opportunity to be involved in the wider community.

Kateryna Kiemele – Director

As a long-time local and parent, I’ve seen firsthand the warmth, care, and sense of belonging that Adventure Patch brings to families. My own children have flourished through their time with the organisation, and I’ve always admired how Adventure Patch fosters connection—not just for children, but for the whole community through its welcoming events and outdoor experiences.

With over 20 years of experience in strategy, finance, and commercial leadership in the energy sector, I bring a strong foundation in governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

I’m excited to contribute these skills as a Board member and to support Adventure Patch in continuing to create meaningful, enriching experiences for children and families.

 Sam Loader – Director

I’m a Chartered Accountant with two decades of experience in both public practice and the private sector. Currently, I serve as a Finance Manager in the Aged Care sector for a local not-for-profit organization.

My roots are firmly planted in the Kingston area, where I live and work. I’m a proud parent with a daughter enrolled at Adventure Patch’s Mountain View, and our family is excitedly awaiting the arrival of another addition.

Outside of work, I enjoy sports, CrossFit sessions, and strumming the guitar. I’m genuinely enthusiastic about the chance to contribute meaningfully to Adventure Patch and its community.

Daniel Mason – Director

I’m a Cyber Security expert working in a senior management role in an Australian-based ASX listed software company.

I live in the Kingborough region with my amazing son and daughter. While I’m very career driven, my primary focus is on my family and giving my children the best outcomes.

It’s for this reason that I decided to combine my skills in analytics, people management, technology, and cyber security with my passion for positive outcomes for children at Adventure Patch to help contribute to the success of this organisation.

Outside of my work and family focus, I also enjoy hobbies in motorcycling, photography, and general DIY around the house

Nick Stowe – Director

My family have lived in Blackmans Bay for seven years and our daughter Evie, has been attending Illawarra OSHC regularly for three years.

My experience is across the hospitality and tourism, energy and fleet industries incorporating sales and marketing, business development, finance and stakeholder engagement within both public and private sectors.  I currently work for a Tasmanian Government Business Enterprise in vehicle fleet management.

In my spare time I enjoy a round of golf, time in the garden and beach trips with the family and our two labradors.

I look forward to giving back to Adventure Patch’s team and services to which our children and families rely on so heavily.
